Marshall G. Howell III, M.D., FACOG

About the Doctor

Dr. Howell chose obstetrics and gynecology because it allows both primary patient care and hands on obstetrics and surgical intervention for his patients. He follows in the footsteps of his father, Marshall G. Howell Jr, MD, and enjoyed 2 years in practice with him before his dad’s retirement. He has a special interest in pelvic support restorative surgery, including correction of urinary incontinence. He takes an active interest in developing and maintaining da Vinci Robotic surgery at Deaconess Women’s Hospital. He is also skilled at laparoscopic surgery, and feels that its minimally invasive nature and rapid recovery is superior for the wellbeing of his patients.

Dr. Howell serves as the chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Deaconess Women’s Hospital, and enjoys working with the medical and nursing staffs to keep our hospital a safe and advanced center to serve women’s needs.

Dr. Howell is a member of the Vanderburgh County Medical Society, Indiana State Medical Society, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. He is a board certified fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
